Onboarding, done right 😉
Introducing the all new Identity Crisis Co. Team in Lima. From left to right: Rodrigo, Melissa, Angel, Zach, Luz, Omar & Brinson.

Hi guys! I’m Melissa, the new social Media Manager at the Identity Crisis Co. Last week, we had a really special week together as a new team & today I want to tell you about those three unforgettable onboarding days in Lima.

We knew our roles were mostly remote… But when Brinson and Zach said our onboarding would happen in person, in Lima, I knew it was going to be good.

I just didn’t expect it to feel this good.

For three days, the whole team came together: Brinson, Zach, Omar, Ángel, Luz, Rodrigo, Joseph, Estefanía, and me, and right from day one, it clicked. No awkward silences. No “corporate” intros. Just an instant connection. ✨

We started with icebreakers (spoiler: they work 😉), swapped stories over lunch, and dug into what makes The Identity Crisis Co. us:

  • How it was born.
  • Why Peru?
  • What we believe in and how we work.
  • And of course, plenty of stories about cool past projects and clients.

One of my favorite parts?
Discovering little things about each person:

  • Luz and I have both traveled solo (and we loved it 🤩)
  • Ángel is a proud big brother to two siblings.
  • Rodrigo has the best sneaker game ( this week he was wearing hairy Monster’s Inc. Nike’s )
  • Joseph turned 25 during onboarding (yes, there was cake)
  • Brinson has a lucky streak (he has won many contests, raffles and even international trips)
  • Zach teaches mythology classes on the side. (ask him more about it 🤓)
  • EstefanĂa is also a yoga instructor.

It didn’t feel like “training”, it felt like hanging out with friends who also happen to be super talented. The structure was horizontal, the energy was contagious, and everything flowed.

By the last day, saying goodbye was bittersweet. We shared a final dinner, took many photos (because social media is our job 🤪), and left knowing that while our day-to-day would be remote, we’d built a real foundation for working together.

One last team dinner in person.

Now, when we log into our calls, we know the personalities on the other side of the screen. We know we can count on each other. And we know that together, we can make anything come to life… and make it beautiful 😍.

This is just the start 🥳. Stay tuned, because you’re about to see what this team can do.
